Our commitment

Hook & Reel is committed to making hookreel.com accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities, and to giving every guest equal access to information about our restaurants, menu, locations, promotions and online ordering.

Our standard

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as our guide and do our best to meet them. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we keep working to improve the site.

How we work on accessibility

  • We test the website regularly with automated accessibility tools.
  • We check pages with automated accessibility tools and by navigating with the keyboard alone, and we ask visitors who use screen readers and other assistive technology to tell us about any problem they meet.
  • We track the issues we find and work to fix them in the website itself.
  • We give the team members who update the website guidance on publishing accessible content, such as text descriptions for promotional images and PDF menus that can be read by assistive technology.

Menus and promotions

Our menu is available as text on the menu page, so it can be read with a screen reader, enlarged and reflowed. Location pages also link printable PDF menus and flyers, and we work to make those readable by assistive technology too.

Third-party services

Some services linked from hookreel.com, such as online ordering, catering, our merchandise shop, maps, email sign-up and social media, are provided by other companies. We do not control their websites, and they may not meet the same standard. If you have trouble with any of them, please contact us and we will help you place your order or find the information you need.
